What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will provide administrative support to a group of ~25 technology professionals at the Linde Chicago Center in Burr Ridge, IL working 20-25 hours per week
  • You will be responsible for preparing, submitting and tracking purchase orders, payments & vendors critical for Global R&D projects, management of various databases and critical safety, health & environmental documentation, records and training, supporting management presentations, spreadsheets, memos, reports, and charts
  • You will manage routine and non-routine office work to include supporting meetings, travel arrangements, office supply inventory, telephone backup, hosting customers and internal/external partners, and team events such as lunch & learns
  • Regularly work with business confidential, technical information and maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Maintain group Airtime site, manage user access, and prepare and process technical documents
  • Administer Kronos time-card attendance entry and Microsoft Project web-based timecard systems for multiple groups within Linde Technology, including project/resource setup, timesheet compliance, and training
  • You will also maintain electronic library of all safety documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory inspections and chemical inventories, support safety program compliance, training, records and action item follow-up
  • Maintain databases and lab notebooks for Linde Technology
  • Enter and maintain procurement requisitions, track purchase orders and Enterprise Asset Management deliverables for Applications R&D
  • Utilize software skills, data analysis and organizational skills to assist with training, monthly reporting, and non-routine assignments
  • Identify processes to improve department workflow, safety and efficiency
  • This position also works closely with other departments and businesses interfacing with Linde Technology


What makes you great

  • You will have 5 or more years or relevant work experience
  • You must possess strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • You must have strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to excellent organization and time management skills
  • AAS degree preferred
