Responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily service work and logistics involving energy and propane service team.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERS
Supervises the Energy Service Technicians by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and actively maintaining performance management standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Schedules and reschedules all fuel and propane service work. That also includes directing the team in their day-to-day jobs.
Maintain good communication with the Carbondale Energy Office.
Oversees inventory of fuel and propane parts and equipment. Must ensure that all items are accounted for related to billing and company use. Also, in charge of purchase invoices regarding inventory items.
Billing all service work regarding fuel and propane jobs.
Develops and implements efficiency and communication programs, strategic plans, and target budgets.
Responsible for the profitability of the energy service department through service items, pricing strategies, continual management and evaluation of people and structure, managing fixed assets and inventories.
Provides leadership to the energy service team by setting performance expectations, managing service activities, planning jobs ahead, and serving as a communication link to the Energy management team. Works closely with the Propane Operations Manager to set goals and bonuses for the team.
Oversees the retail station service items along with working with federal and state agencies associated with rules and regulations of maintaining service station. Also outsources work that cannot be performed by Southern FS.
Be well versed in all tank sets and service-related items regarding fuel and propane repairs and maintenance.

Assist in site checks related to propane and energy. Also making sure all work is done in accordance with federal and state codes and company safety standards. Must also oversee quality assurance of all service work.
Oversees, plans, and helps with all bigger fuel and propane jobs that will need extra attention. Helps Propane Operations Manager with annual insurance audit.
Overall trainer of all service employees.
Assist Safety Mgr. in training for all dispenser locations. Assist with Fire Marshal permits as needed.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops beneficial relationships with required vendors for energy products.
Recruits, selects, and retains quality personnel. Trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees to develop individual talents.
Conducts and assists with training and informational meetings.
Assists with the development of the company budget by forecasting sales volumes, projected margins and expense items.
Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts. Performs all other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related area or the equivalent thereof, and 6 years or more of business related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to supervise employees, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share.
Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability to work extended hours or on call as business conditions warrant. FS. Bringing You What's Next.
