Operator – SFI – Decatur, IL

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Starting Pay: $19.50/hr plus shift differential

Shift(s) Available: Ability to work any shift, overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice as needed.

ADM is a part of the production of 30% of the food supply globally, on average you touch at least 7 items per day made with ADM ingredients. 25% of production for ADM is right here in Decatur, IL. We make ingredients like Corn Oil and Soybean Oil which can be found in chips or salad dressing. Everyone who works here is a big part of feeding the world.

Job Description:

+ Entry level position in a union workforce.

+ Perform tasks, including but not limited to, loading and unloading semi tankers, operating packaging machinery, process batching and operation, general housekeeping, retrieving samples and level measurements, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, operate a motorized fork truck and a variety of miscellaneous duties as needed or required.

+ Applicant is expected to perform a variety of jobs, tasks or duties as required.

+ Must be able to work any and all shifts, overtime and weekends as required.

+ Applicant must also be willing to work in any area/department within the complex.

+ Must have regular and prompt attendance.

Requirements:

+ Basic computer knowledge (data entry), general math comprehension, and previous plant environment experience helpful

+ Forklift Operation experience

+ Prior plant/manufacturing experience

+ Be active and participate in safety programs

+ Learn and follow written rules and procedures

+ Produce accurate documentation

+ Willing and able to learn other jobs, fill in for temporary/permanent vacancies

+ Have the ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, work in cold/hot temperatures and a dusty environment and be respirator qualified
