Maintenance Mechanic

2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm M-Fri Pay: $25 -> $34 +$1 Shift differential

**If a person has experience in maintenance of a + Kieserling Machine + = they will have a the best chance of placement

Taubensee Steel is looking for a maintenance mechanic who will be able to maintain and troubleshoot the mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on overhead cranes, bar machinery and wire drawing machines.

Candidate will spend 50% of their day working on replacing old mechanical equipment (gauges, gears, motors, drives, pulleys) and 50% of their day will be spent fabricating and welding sheet metal for different parts of the company.

MIG, TIG, and Stick welding and fabrication will be needed in this role.

Will be working on machinery that manufactures:

Low Carbon Steel Wire
-Grades: 1006, 1008, 1010, 1018, 1020
-Cold Heading Quality Wire
-Straightened & Cut Wire
-Hot Rolled Rod
-Shaped Wire Products
-Annealed / Spheroidized Annealed / Galvanized
-Deformed Concrete Reinforcing

PPE’s are required :hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
-Experience replacing and maintaining gauges, shafts, gears, pulleys, and working with AC/DC motors
-Must be able to work off a blueprint and diagrams to maintain equipment
-Must have experience working on mechanical and pneumatic systems
—Electrical knowledge (working with servo drives, AC/DC Motors, 480V)
PLC Troubleshooting (Just understanding; no programming)


MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FABRICATING SHEET METAL AND WELDING (MIG AND TIG)

NICE TO HAVE:
-Nice to have maintenance experience on wire drawing machinery, overhead cranes, or bar machinery.
- Any knowledge or experience working on a Kieserling Machine would be best
