Human Resources Professional

Chicago, IL $80-$100k, DOE Direct-Hire Seeking a high-energy, detail oriented HR professional to partner with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions while focusing on recruitment, employee onboarding and employee relations for two Chicago locations. Description:

+ Responsible for full cycle recruitment for nonexempt and exempt positions.

+ Support all functions and processes related to on-boarding and off-boarding of employees including background checks, drug screening, employment verifications, new hire orientations, exit interviews, etc.

+ Manage sensitive and confidential matters pertaining to employee relations timely and consistently.

+ Consult/Coach supervisors as they handle performance issues and talent development needs.

+ Directly manage employee relations including investigations and recommendations.

+ Assist with benefits administration including enrollments and terminations for medical, dental, vision, COBRA, 401(k), and commuter benefits programs.

+ Process monthly billings from insurance providers; review billings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

+ HR database management including data entry and maintaining accurate record keeping.

+ Handle monthly reporting.

+ Responsible for workers compensation and safety regulations process.

+ Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs.

+ Respond to reference checks, verifications of employment status and unemployment claims.

+ Provide appropriate communications and promotes employee understanding of programs, policies and objectives.

+ Maintain employee confidence and have the ability to keep HR information confidential.

+ Assist the HR Director with various special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

+ College degree preferred and/or 5 years’ experience in an HR-related position.

+ Knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices and compliance issues.

+ Experience with Paycom preferred.

+ Must have strong writing and research skills.
