Responsibilities

 

Design/evaluate new and existing circuits for appropriate functionality and the ability to pass electrical qualification tests
Work with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems.
Circuit design including schematic capture, simulation and verification/validation
PCB layout considerations design guidance and review with focus on signal integrity and power considerations
PCB Layout signal integrity and power integrity analysis and simulation
Coordinate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.
Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.
May provide or assist with training needs as it relates to new or existing products or processes
Ensure that designs adhere to applicable standards and meet appropriate performance and safety requirements
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed
Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards
Ability to present and communicate effectively with all stakeholders of global team and leadership staff
Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions
Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision
This position pays: $109,000 - $167,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

 


Qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Electrical) with a minimum of 8+ years of experience is required. Master's Degree (Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Electrical) with 6+ years of experience or Doctorate with 3+ years of experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced skill level with a mainstream schematic capture tool such as Altium, OrCAD or equivalent
Advanced skill level using LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB or equivalent tools for circuit analysis and modeling
Advanced skill level with analyzing and simulation of PCB layout with mainstream SI/PI Signal and Power Integrity analysis tools
Advanced skill level using test equipment such has logic analyzers, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers and other circuit design test equipment
Extensive design experience with interfaces and devices: SPI, I2C, MIPI-CSI, USB, CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS, GPIO, UART, EEPROM, Flash, External Memories, eMMC, DDR RAM, SOC
Responsive to working in an AGILE environment
Familiarity with Automatic and Digital Controls theory
Demonstrated significant problem-solving capabilities and experience
Extensive experience with simulation tools such as Hyperlynx, Ansys HFSS, SIwave
Experience using JIRA and Confluence or similar process tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and implementation
Knowledge of configuration management tools such as SVN, Git or similar, requirements tools (e.g., Polarion or similar)
Travel: Up to 15% domestically and international
