Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join John Deere’s team in East Moline. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the procurement, expediting, and delivery of materials across multiple departments

- Manage the movement of rejected materials back to the source

- Recommend procedures for specific situations to maintain inventory accuracy and management

- Identify and rectify the root cause of material shortages

- Utilize the Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules

- Process transactions for inbound/outbound materials

- Audit material replenishment cycles and accuracy, and create material replenishment plans when necessary

- Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to ensure uninterrupted production

- Work on critical shortage reports to ensure part availability

- Implement the output from the engineering release and change management process.

Requirements:

- Ability to work 3rd shift, overtime, and weekend coverage as needed

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

- Strong planning and supervising skills

- Ability to handle materials and plan processes effectively

- Knowledge of auditing and production

- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently

- Understanding of shipping procedures and manufacturing processes

- Familiarity with change management and replenishment processes

- Competency in dealing with shortages and adjusting production schedules accordingly

- Ability to provide recommendations and track inventory

- Experience in material planning and tactical execution

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field encouraged

- Will need metatarsal steel-toed shoes

- Expect to walk frequently throughout the shift, this position is a mix of office/desk work, as well as troubleshooting issues on a manufacturing shop floor environment.
