We are seeking a Business Technologist II to work closely with stakeholders and peers to develop solutions architecture for customer websites and portals, participate in Scrum ceremonies and offer technical direction to assigned projects. The selected individual will also provide technical leadership, guidance, and oversight for development staff as well as contribute full stack development (frontend, backend, APIs, and databases) across all systems and deployments the team is responsible for.

Qualifications

 

Technical Qualifications:
10+ years full stack development of enterprise class, software-intensive systems, spanning UI design and coding, web services, databases, and the deployment, support, and maintenance of such system
7+ years developing and supporting applications in .NET and Visual Studio (experience with both .NET Framework and .NET/.NET Core strongly preferred)
7+ years developing and supporting web applications using HTML, CSS (or SASS), and JavaScript (or TypeScript)
5+ years in a senior technical role architecting, designing, overseeing, developing, deploying, and supporting Windows Server based deployments of .NET systems accessible from the Internet (internal-only systems not accessible from the public Internet do not qualify)
5+ years developing and supporting SOAP and REST services
5+ years developing and supporting applications that interact with popular RDBMSs (Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later strongly preferred)
4+ years developing and supporting applications using ASP.NET MVC or Core MVC
4+ years developing and supporting web applications using TypeScript, SASS, JavaScript modules, JavaScript package management tools (e.g. NPM, Yarn), and front-end build systems (e.g. Gulp, WebPack, Parcel)
4+ years developing and supporting web services using WCF and Web API
4+ years with Entity Framework (both EF6 and EF Core strongly preferred)
2+ years with message-based communications (e.g. queues and topics), event-driven architecture, or stream processing systems
2+ years in a technical leadership role (formal or informal) of a team responsible for development, maintenance, and support of one or more Internet-accessible web applications (experience working with offshore teams strongly preferred)
Identifying and resolving or mitigating common web application security vulnerabilities, including cross-site scripting (XSS), request forgeries (CSRF and SSRF), session hijacking/replay attacks, insufficient or defective validation, and inadequate or broken access controls
Diagnosing and troubleshooting production defects, including performance problems
Windows server administration (2012 R2 or later strongly preferred)
IIS administration (v8.5 or later strongly preferred)
Git version control (experience with Azure DevOps strongly preferred)
Experience with the following is also strongly preferred:
Evoq, DNN (DotNetNuke), or ASP.NET Web Forms
Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Windows services
Open ID Connect or similar web-based SSO technologies (e.g. WS-Federation, SAML)
Use of code quality tools like SonarQube, Veracode, FxCop, StyleCop, NetAnalyzers, es-lint, etc.
Atlassian SDLC tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Trello
Implementing and administering CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines strongly preferred) and blue/green deployments on proprietary infrastructure (i.e. not in a public cloud)

Demonstrate proven technical leadership in interdisciplinary environments comprised of multiple, remote workgroups
Have clear motivation and the ability to work diligently in the face of vague or ill-defined tasks or objectives
Consistently take ownership of responsibilities and assignments without having to be reminded or repeatedly solicited for results

Prioritize communication among stakeholders and work to facilitate mutual understanding and agreement on solutions
