Job Description

As a DevOps / Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment pipelines, automate processes, and enhance system reliability. We offer high compensation to experienced engineers who like working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Work is primarily remote at present. Relocation to Chicago not required. US Citizen or Permanent Work Authorization (Green Card) required.
Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Establish and manage monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog, or custom scripts.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment.
Optimize resource utilization, cost, and security across cloud environments.
Participate in risk analysis, vulnerability scanning, certificate management, password policy, security monitoring, coordination of remediations, and other daily security and compliance efforts.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least three (3) years of U.S. based experience with network and cloud engineering and performing DevOps activities in a professional capacity.
Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog.
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
AWS Certifications:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
