The Campus Operations Event Assistant position reports to the Campus Operations Event Supervisor and the Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager. This position provides support services required to carry out operational service functions for events and activities, both internal and external, scheduled at College facilities.

Perform daily clerical responsibilities, event scheduling and correspondence with clients and staff as delegated by the Campus Operations Event Supervisor and the Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager.

Create, review, assign, and close out ServiceDesk work orders.Generate system reporting for ServiceDesk work orders for campus set ups.

Visit campus set up venues for all ServiceDesk requests to confirm requested arrangements and instructions have been followed and completed correctly by Buildings and Grounds staff.

Attend on-site campus events (including evenings and weekends) as scheduled. Assist Event Supervisor and Event Specialist with large scale events as directed by the Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager.

Assist in the coordination of event logistics including registration and attendee tracking.

Work professionally and cooperatively with internal and external clients to maximize facility utilization while best serving the needs of the College and the Community.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.

One year of clerical and customer service experience required. Event coordinating experience is strongly preferred.

Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus.

Computer literacy to include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.Experience with Visio preferred.

Experience with data entry, email and electronic calendar required.

Ability to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students and members of the community.

Ability to prioritize and work with limited supervision.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.

Excellent organizational, written and oral communication and human relations skills.

Ability to work evening and/or weekend events as needed.
