Our client is seeking a Machine Vision Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:
Purpose of Role
+ Provide Machine Vision expertise and support to manufacturing processes.
+ Support the implementation of Machine Vision related projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).
+ Code Review/debug of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
+ Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision Applications.
+ Characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
+ Collaboration with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering).
+ Standardization of best machine vision practices across site.
+ Lead vision related obsolescence upgrade projects
+ Vision Training for engineering personnel
Experience/Training Required
+ Candidates must have minimum 5 years machine vision relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated high volume automated manufacturing environment.
+ Candidates must have demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform (spreadsheet environment)
+ Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of Optics, Lighting Techniques, Troubleshooting/Diagnostics, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems.
+ Candidates must have extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, job profiling etc
+ Candidates must have completed Cognex advanced spreadsheet training.
+ Experience with Cognex Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems
+ Candidates should have a good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
+ Candidates should have experience of GDP/GMP/GAMP.
Qualifications/Education
+ Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable.

+ Flexible and innovative approach to work.
+ Occasional travel for training and project implementation.
