Job Description
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in Plainfield, Illinois. The individual will be involved in various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as processing transactions, reconciling the AP ledger, and generating reports related to the AP status. This role is integral to the smooth running of our financial operations, and the ideal candidate will be experienced in dealing with a range of AP duties.
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily transactions and record AP data accurately and timely
- Reconcile the AP ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and in accordance with our company policies
- Monitor AP to detect any discrepancies or issues, taking immediate action to resolve them
- Generate reports related to AP status to provide insightful information for decision making
- Support the Accounting department with all functions payable, inventory, and reporting
- Develop a standard operating procedure to standardize the AP process and improve efficiency
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively
- Utilize QuickBooks, Accounts Payable (AP), and Microsoft Excel in performing daily tasks
