About the Company

Following the 2019 merger of Anvil International and Smith-Cooper International, our unified company relaunched in March 2021 as ASC Engineered Solutions. Under a single name and logo, ASC Engineered Solutions continues our focus on improving the customer experience every day and striving to deliver service excellence. For more than 150 years we have provided the finest-quality pipe products and services with integrity and dedication to superior customer service at all levels. ASC Engineered Solutions provides expertise and product solutions for a wide range of applications, from plumbing and mechanical, HVAC, industrial and fire protection to mining, and oil and gas. Our comprehensive line of products includes: pipe couplings, plain-end fittings, valves, cast and malleable iron fittings, forged steel fittings, steel pipe nipples and couplings, pipe hangers and hardware, channel and strut fittings, mining and oil field fittings, and much more.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst who will report to the Sr. Mgr. Supply Chain Planning. In this role, you will support ASC's supply chain operations and strategy. You will work closely with cross functional groups to enhance their analytical capabilities, identify, and solve supply chain issues, and quantify the impact of strategic projects. You will participate in the development and implementation of our inventory models and portfolio stocking strategies, and will own key metrics and processes that maintain an efficient network.

How You Will Help:

Stocking Strategy
  • Evaluate current stocking model against target performance metrics. Regularly adjust the model to maintain performance.
  • Determine DC space requirements for the stocking model. Monitor space utilization. Determine the maximum number of SKUs and inventory level that each DC can support.
  • Execute the stocking strategy for new product introductions and acquisition integrations. Develop tools and processes to support this work.

Inventory Strategy
  • Manage our dynamic inventory rebalancing process and tools. Evaluate and report on inventory and service impact.
  • Monitor low stock and stock-out situations. Coordinate with necessary teams to expedite filling customer backorders and replenishing inventory.
  • Support our safety stock program. Determine optimal levels. Analyze investment and service performance. Identify exceptions and take corrective action.

Analytics, Systems, and Processes
  • Monitor key inventory performance metrics. Develop, implement, and report on corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain monthly projections: on-hand and in-transit inventory, purchases, receipts, and payments. Identify and report on drivers of month-over-month changes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical models to support supply chain initiatives.
  • Maintain Blue Yonder system settings supporting the inventory and safety stock strategy.
  • Support implementation of new Blue Yonder functionality (design, testing, training).
  • Develop standard work and document processes.
