PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position will work in accordance with AAR standards in the automotive group. This will report up through the intermodal team at Bensenville and will be responsible for timely loading/unloading the automotive railcars that are spotted in the terminal. Further, this position is accountable for the classification of all inventory to ensure the accuracy of customer shipments for departure on right train to destination. This position will have the responsibility to line up shipments for delivery for truck drivers that will come and take the unloaded vins out to the customer.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Load/unload all autos spotted in the Bensenville auto compound.
Ensure all inventory is correct for both outbound and inbound
Ensure they are performing work with accuracy and safety awareness
Load and unload railcars on designated tracks, and within designated parking zones

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must possessa class 5 drivers license with a clean driving abstract
Must have a sense of urgency to complete work tasks
Able to meet daily requirements with minimal supervision
Leverage feedback provided on work performance to improve results
Attention to detail enabling the accuracy of unloads/loads
Must possess advanced reading and writing skills, including the ability to follow more advanced written instruction and/or training in skills such as driving
Situationally aware of surrounding to be able to work safely
Work 8-12hr days working in the elements, preforming physical labour, climbing up and down off railcars, and laying chocks at the wheels

Medical Requirements:

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer
