RN Clinical Documentation Specialist

Position Highlights:
Position:RN Clinical Documentation Specialist
Location: Skokie, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

What you will do:
Review medical records for conflicting, incomplete, or non-specific documentation by provider
Identify clinical indicators to ensure diagnosis and procedures are clinically supported
Ensure each treated diagnosis is documented in the medical record to the appropriate specificity in collaboration with providers, and coders aimed at ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant medical records which reflect the severity and complexity of a patient's illness

What you will need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or equivalent Allied Healthcare field
Experience: 2+ Critical Care Experience in the ED or ICU, or 5 years Med/Surge in-patient nursing experience within the last 8 years.
