Your Role at Baxter:
This Finance Senior Manager role will be a key collaborator with the Information Technology (IT) organization collaborating with all levels of the organization to help IT solve their business problems from a financial viewpoint. You will collaborate with both Finance and IT to deliver an annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly/quarterly results reviews. You will help IT manage their budget to optimize their work and their support their work to solve business problems. This role will report to the Senior Manager of IT & Transformation and will oversee one or more direct reports.
What You'll Be Doing:
Execute the annual operating plan process by collaborating with leaders of both Finance and IT to build budgets ensure accurate, timely, well socialized/communicated financial picture.
Run quarterly forecast cycles by setting clear communication and guidance on timelines, forecast considerations, and partnering with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Systems team & Finance Center of Excellence (COEs)while working to standardize and simplify forecasting methods.
Analyze results from a global IT level and challenge business segments on forecast updates and inconsistencies.
Provide thought leadership on ways to improve/transform processes, data, hierarchies etc.
Help develop and mentor direct reports and help build a high-performing, collaborative team.
Implement and/or improve governance processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data in financial systems and reporting & analysis.
Responsible for preparation and first line review of quarterly/monthly IT SLT materials and other ad hoc updates.
Partner with both IT and Finance to simplify, streamline and improve accuracy in our financial results.
Interact directly with the Segment Finance CFOs and COEs as needed to provide strategic guidance and ensure the sum of parts can fabricate the desired Total Baxter result.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or country equivalent). MBA/CPA preferred.
Ability to lead and operate in a collaborative environment and influence cross-functional partners!
Strong process mentality and shown success in leading business initiatives to deliver large scale process improvements.
Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks concurrently; owns career and is accountable for managing own development.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple ongoing projects.
Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and build concise and compelling presentations to senior leadership audience.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Mentality for continuous improvement in all aspects of your work.
Preference for one or more of the following skills/experiences; Excel Macro/VBA, Oracle EPM/SmartView, Microsoft PowerBI, IBM Cognos or other Business Intelligence tools, SQL/R/Python etc. coding
