Job Description SummaryThe successful candidate for this position will join a lean, dynamic legal team with direct responsibility for providing corporate, transactional and litigation legal support primarily to C&W's Global Occupier Services business. The candidate will be responsible for proactively supporting the Global Occupier Services and other businesses, with a varied client base, and fostering C&W's dynamic, collaborative and practical culture. This position may also include providing ad hoc assistance on special projects as they arise and this position reports to the Assistant General Counsel - Global Occupier Services.
Chicago-based role | Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office.
Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
Analyze, draft, negotiate, finalize and follow the approval process for all types of complex commercial agreements and arrangements for the Global Occupier Services and other businesses.
Consistently analyze and mitigate complex contractual risk, while increasing efficiency and consistency in contracting.
Assist Senior Counsel and Assistant General Counsel - Global Occupier Services in drafting and negotiation of Master Services Agreements and contract scope review.
Advise and counsel internal clients with respect to the legal policies and the legal implications of proposed transactions; maintain open communication and good working relationships with both internal clients and clients of the Company.
Assist in supporting litigation and corporate matters for the Global Occupier Services and other businesses, in coordination with outside counsel and Assistant General Counsel - Global Occupier Services.
Collaborate with Senior Counsel and internal business clients to share best practices, implement risk management strategies, craft negotiation strategy and follow corporate directives, policies and procedures.
Assist Assistant General Counsel - Global Occupier Services to develop training for internal clients.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work under time-sensitive deadlines and be productive in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities.
Research, analyze and keep current on legal issues and laws, legislation, regulations and court decisions affecting the real estate industry and real estate service providers.
Collaborate with legal counsel on procurement activities and with the North America Compliance Director in compliance matters.
Compile and present key legal terms to senior business leadership for approval.
Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Education/Experience/Training:
J.D. from a leading law school required
Combination of private practice and in-house experience preferred
Bar admission in good standing
Requires 3 to 7 years of experience
Outsourcing and M&A experience a plus
