Job Description
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our manufacturing industry based in Rockford, Illinois, 61109, United States. In this role, you will be expected to manage customer accounts, process payments, and handle account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in similar roles will be crucial for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate processing of daily cash applications
- Conducting account reconciliations to ensure correct balances
- Posting payments to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner
- Handling commercial collections, ensuring the swift resolution of outstanding payments
- Assisting in month-end tasks to close off financial periods
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies in all tasks
- Resolving customer inquiries related to credit accounts promptly and professionally
- Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action for delinquent payments
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all customer credit information. Requirements – Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Applications, Cash Posting, Posting Payments, and Account Reconciliation
- Demonstrable skills in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
- Ability to accurately process financial transactions and maintain records
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in data and financial reports
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with clients and internal teams
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field would be advantageous.
