We are seeking to add a Billing Specialist to our growing team. Work a Hybrid remote/in office, come work at our renovated offices in Skokie or Our team has the option to work 100% fully remote The Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist will be responsible for the submission of insurance claims to payors, posting payments, and subsequent follow-up to ensure claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. The Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist will have the opportunity to engage with various departments of the Revenue Cycle team to further develop his or her knowledge and skills. Your Responsibilities:

+ Submit Electronic Claims in a timely and accurate manner

+ Verify correct insurance filing information

+ Research, resolve and resubmit any rejected claims in a timely manner

+ Check claim status on appropriate payor systems and contact insurances as needed

+ Post payments received from payors

+ Send Medical Records and other documentation to payors as requested

+ Meet daily, monthly and quarterly billing metrics

Qualifications:

+ 1-3 years of billing or related healthcare experience

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Billing Certification preferred

+ E xperience in Behavioral and/or Mental Health billing preferred

+ Proficient in CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

+ Knowledge of HIPAA and other critical governmental regulations

+ Solid understanding of the healthcare industry and revenue cycle process

+ Organized and detail-oriented

+ Ability to comprehend insurance documentation and follow detailed procedures in an

+ organized and efficient manner

+ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

+ Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills

+ Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)
