The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Genetics and Genomics, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Clinical responsibilities will focus on care of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and Chicagoland Children's Health Alliance.Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. Appointees will join a vibrant center of scientific discovery and innovation, and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration are abundant, both within and outside the Biological Sciences Division.These positions require collaborative physician leaders who will be positioned to succeed in a dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational, and scholarly goals of the growing Section of Genetics and Genomics.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Genetics and Genomics.

Consideration will also be given to those who have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency in addition to Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency.

We especially welcomeapplicants with experience as clinical educators, conducting research in the field of Pediatric Genetics, and/or expertise in metabolic disorders.
