What you will be doing

Summary:
Under the general direction of Corporate Director, the Sr. Manager designs, implements, inspects, manages, tests, and supports software/systems/hardware/ WCS solutions and implementations in the Material Handling domain that form Cencora's key business operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Leads the Project Teams with implementation, functional specifications, interface specification, testing, issue tracking, and trend analysis.
2. Leads corporate and/or division MHE enhancement projects with evaluations, implementation plans, testing, documentation, delivery, deployment for project software/systems/hardware/equipment, and project closeout.
3. Leads a team of Software Engineers on various aspects of Material Handling solutions.
4. Leads with training and support of automated Material Handling solutions.
5. Participates in the design, development, testing, and implementation of technologies to best meet the organization's cybersecurity needs.

General Responsibilities:
1. Leads with preparation of preliminary user requirements as well as, WCS support/modifications and documentation materials for all division systems.
2. Leads in the development and rollout of training programs and materials that will assist the end-users and customers in better utilizing new or enhanced applications.
3. Assists with business intelligence initiatives and projects.
4. Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support division processing.
5. Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

The candidate requires an understanding of Software solutions. Normally requires some training in fields such as business, project management, administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years related and progressively responsible experience.

Key Skills and Expertise:
1. Strong Programming skills in SQL Server/Oracle and/or Visual Studio/Java are required.
2. Experience with Warehouse Material Handling solution design is required.
3. Experience with Functional and Interface Specification as well as Integration of various components into a larger system is necessary.
4. Project Management or People Management (direct reports or vendors) experience is necessary.
5. Experience with writing Test plans and testing is necessary.
6. Experience with XML, JSON, FTP, and Telnet is a plus.
7. Experience with Python, Azure, PowerBI, and VMWare is a plus.
8. Demonstrated issue resolution, analytical and problem-solving skills, including debugging application code and interface messaging.

1. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels within the organization (Technical and non-technical resources, external vendors, etc.).
2. Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
3. Strong decision-making skills and customer service skills.
4. Ability to work on several initiatives, production issues, etc. while meeting committed development delivery dates and managing individuals/teams as required.
5. Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
6. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
7. Willing to travel up to 20% in a year.
