Job Description
DescriptionFor the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2022-23 academic year, the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of East Asian Languages & Civilizations seeks a part-time Lecturer of Japanese language.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a master's degree or equivalent in Japanese linguistics and/or language pedagogy or a related field, superior proficiency in Japanese and English according to ACTFL guidelines, and experience teaching Japanese at the college level. Responsibilities will include preparing and teaching seminar-style language courses at various levels (elementary, intermediate, and/or advanced), holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparing and grading of assignments and testing materials. Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In 2022-23, the minimum per-course salary is $7,319. This position is not benefits eligible.
