Job Description
Zoro Tools, Inc. is seeking a Senior Relevance Engineer with the following duties: Improve the ranking and relevance of search results by optimizing search queries and index mappings; Work in a cross functional team in areas like API development, observability and monitoring, and ETL; Work with data science teams on machine learning models, natural language processing, and query understanding to build personalized search, semantic search and understand user intent; Tune search performance by investigating the slow performing requests and analyzing the resource utilization of the application infrastructure; Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help mentor junior engineers on the team to grow their technical expertise; Work effectively with engineers, product managers, data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders; Produce clean, high-quality code, tests, and well written documentation; Participate in code and design reviews with peers and partners; Be capable of providing a task/pbi/feature breakdown that considers schedule, priorities, dependencies and deliverables. 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.
