Key Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of operations, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping across all manufacturing sites
  • Natural leader and Change Agent, skilled at maintaining an agile and collaborative operations team, across a wide geography. Coaches, mentors and supports team members to succeed
  • Lead and challenge purchasing efforts, ensuring best value when procuring raw material, packaging and equipment
  • Ensure manufacturing sites optimize production scheduling, whether in-season or when following demand plan / forecast for pre-pack. Assist Regional Operations Managers in creating and executing plans for co-packing partners
  • Work with direct reports to manage inventory of finished goods, raw materials and packaging appropriately
  • Closely align with Logistics and Customer Service teams to optimize freight across the network
  • Key contributor to CapEx plans and execution
  • Leader of sustainable efforts, from fuel consumption to waste management
  • Sound understanding of costing, supporting timely and accurate cost updates
  • Encourage innovation, continuously identify best practices and disseminating ideas across the business
  • Proven success (10+ years) in driving and achieving growth and profitability targets
  • Demonstrated passion for analysis; able to easily draw upon financial, operational, or functional data to drive sound decision making
  • M&A proficiency and experience - target identification, integration planning and execution, post-close issue resolution. The role is also accountable for leading greenfield projects
  • Desire to understand our industry and markets with strategic capability to assess trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth
