Duties and Responsibilities 
 The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago invites candidates to apply for a full-time faculty appointment beginning in Fall 2024. This position has an initial one-year appointment with possible renewal based on teaching needs. Previous teaching experience related to supply chain management, project management, or closely related fields in a university setting is highly preferred. Evidence of scholarly contributions and a terminal degree are required.

 

The successful candidate will teach various undergraduate or graduate Supply Chain Management courses or Project Management courses and Department core courses (statistics, analytics, Introduction to Supply Chain Management, or Introduction to Information Systems) under the mentorship of experienced faculty who oversee the curriculum. Other responsibilities include participation in faculty discussions to develop and maintain an appropriate curriculum for Supply Chain Management programs. Other responsibilities may consist ofengaging in impactful service roles at Quinlan and sharing a commitment to our mission of educating responsible leaders.

In addition to teaching and administrative responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to build relationships with the business community in the Chicago area to support Internship and Mentorship projects through Loyola's Supply Chain Management programs.
Qualifications 
 Earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. (or final stages of completing a Ph.D. or D.B.A. (A.B.D.)) in supply chain management or a related field and evidence of teaching experience. A record showing recent research activities defined by AACSB as Scholarly Active is required. Qualified candidates must show teaching effectiveness and a strong understanding of and commitment to the University's mission. Of particular interest are candidates who can further the University's efforts to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.
