JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct
others in coding descriptions.
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
* Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
* Provide feedback about bugs within DevOps and help to verify bug resolution.
* Develop depth of knowledge about applications that can help in writing test scripts for the applications and support help desk tickets as a Level 2 business owner support, answer questions about user stories created.
* Provide back up leadership to the testing team to collect bug feedback and coordinate bug fixes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or comparable (engineering, IT, etc) with 1+ years" experience OR
* Technical Associates degree with 2-5 years of experience in computer or software engineering.
* Experience with Agile methodology, SQL, Github and Azure cloud applications
* Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
* Quick learner and inquisitive
* Must have excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to enjoy working with cross functional teams.
* Understands application ownership and the wider business perspective required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Creation of test scripts experience
* Previous computer application testing experience
* APIs and Webservices experience
* Presentation skills
* Skills in teaching and assisting others
