Job Description

Create price forecasting models using statistical methodologies and assisting in analyzing the resulting data collected. Execute developments of the infrastructure necessary to implement and assist the Team Leader with applying the constructed strategies and optimize trading and research models. Design new algorithms that improve existing signals and create new signals and test those signals to add to existing or new strategies. Code improvements to existing tools and make ongoing changes to improve usability of the research tools. Assist with creating price forecasting models using statistical methodologies and developing quantitative research to further direct developments of the infrastructure. Optimize trading and research models and design new algorithms that will improve existing signals. Monetize certain markets and integrate with existing monetizing models. Provide coding improvements to existing tools and will make ongoing changes to improve usability of the research tools. Applicant may work at unanticipated work locations throughout the US — applicant may work remotely.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM related field, and 2 months of experience as a Quantitative Research Intern, or an alternate acceptable related occupation. Work or academic experience must have included: statistical techniques to predict price fluctuations; optimizing and recalculating the balance of variables in models; designing algorithms and code to optimize trading; and analyzing financial statements, earnings and sales reports, and third-party sources for stock and bond information.
