Capstone Fire Management is seeking experienced and motivated, firefighters to join our Capstone Team. We are looking for team-oriented firefighters who possess outstanding leadership and communication skills. The perfect candidate makes good decisions based on our established operational policies, procedures, and practices. They can be trusted to make sound decisions and/or exercise good judgement on behalf of the Capstone Fire & Safety Management organization. Working in the private sector offers many challenging and rewarding opportunities. We work with commercial, utility, and industrial customers during their critical infrastructure projects, outages, shut downs, and emergency call out situations across the Western and Central Regions of the United States.

Position Summary:
The firefighter responsibility is for firefighting, fire prevention and other fire services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responds to fires with their company in a timely, safe and skilled manner, and participates in control of fires through hose and nozzle work, use of hand tools or a combination of these methods. Quickly follows established Company procedures when responding to emergencies as well as instructions given at the emergency scene. Correctly and promptly uses all relevant apparatus, tools, and equipment. Remains calm and poised in all emergency situations and gains rapid control over the problem at hand.
Administers first aid to injured parties at their appropriate level of training. Quickly analyzes situations where life safety is threatened and applies the correct treatment.
Conducts fuels reduction projects as directed by the supervisor on the project. Maintains a positive attitude and strives to meet the client's needs.
Safely operates Company vehicles, and equipment as directed.
Assists in the maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment keeping such apparatus, tools, and equipment in good operating and safe condition by competently and efficiently performing maintenance and testing tasks.
Remains skilled in modern fire suppression tactics, methods through training drills,
Keeps the company base and related grounds, facilities, and supplies in a clean, orderly and useable condition.
Performs routine non-firefighting work tasks willingly and adequately such as working on Company records, time cards and other related paperwork.
Functions satisfactorily as a team member of a fire company at any emergency or non-emergency scene, and willingly accepts their share of the work required.
Able to meet the physical requirements required to perform firefighting tasks. Remains skilled in and properly applies modern fire suppression tactics, methods, and procedures.
Projects a positive image to the client as a fire service professional.
Supports the Capstone Way and works effectively in following policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Requirement A
Valid Driver's License
Valid Medical Examiner's Card
Clean Driver's Record
High School Diploma or GED
Requirement B:
CPR with AED
EMT
Physical Fitness (Initial Hire and Annually)
Work Capacity Test - Arduous Level (Pack Test)
Pass full DOT physical: bending, pushing, pulling, crouching, and vision
Firefighter 1- Wildland Division
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years old
Minimum Training Requirements:
Certificate of completion for a Firefighter 1 Academy OR
NWCG FFT2 (S-130, S-190, I-100, L-180) OR
Meets Requirements for NFPA 1001 OR
Military Fire Fighter Equivalent
Firefighter 2- Wildland Division
Minimum Qualifications:
19 years old
1 year part time experience with a recognized all risk Volunteer Fire Department/(Minimum of 25 shifts) OR
Six Months full time experience with a professional department
Minimum Training Requirements:
Certificate of completion for a Firefighter 1 Academy, OR
State FF1 certification/ Volunteer FF Certification, OR
NWCG FFT2 (S-130, S-190, I-100, L-180), OR
Meets Requirements for NFPA 1001, OR
Military Fire Fighter Equivalent
