Job Description
Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is currently seeking a Packer in Vernon Hills, IL. The Packer is responsible for performing general shipping duties including: packing, labeling, and processing customer orders, among other related duties.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares orders for shipment by entering into system, packing instrumentation, and labeling shipping container according to specified procedures.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of orders according to specified procedure.
Organizes and maintains inventory, keeps packing area clean and orderly in order to facilitate efficient workflow.
Operates packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Performs miscellaneous company errands as needed (i.e. post office, bank, suppliers, airport, etc.)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to established packing and shipping regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Aware of and comply with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous shipping/receiving experience helpful
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills
Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
The following physical demands are required:
Lift/Carry 25+ pounds
Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
Push/pull 50+ pounds
