Job Description
This is an entry-level position for ideal undergraduates who have recently achieved a degree in business. A related degree in insurance or other insurance-related courses is a plus. This is a fantastic opportunity to start in the insurance industry and grow with a dynamic insurance company.
FOR THIS POSITION, WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO JOIN US WITH:

WHAT YOU WILL ALSO WORK ON:
- Coordinates review, evaluation and processing of workers’ compensation medical only claims
- Initiates contact with employers, injured employees, doctors and other parties.
- Obtains and reviews medical records and claim related correspondences and determines appropriate action for each case.
- Recognize clients that participate in the coordinated occupational health program structures and request and obtain the medical authorizations forms.
- Calculates medical and treatment costs bring claim to a close.
- Establishes initial and on-going reserves for medical costs and authorizes or denies payments.
- Provides information to clients, claimants, doctors and others regarding the status of claims.
- Coordinates workers’ compensation subrogation by determining if subrogation should be pursued, collects and reviews all necessary documentation, contacts all appropriate parties and pursues any third-party recoveries.
- Complete all applicable Navrisk screens.
- Maintains files notes in accordance with established procedures, maintains timely diary management and claim closing goals.
THE DETAILS
CORE HOURS
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as essential -functions demand. This is a hybrid position after being fully trained – in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday and remote the rest of the week.
SALARY RANGE
$48,000 to $50,000. Pay will be based on experience. The position is full-time, non-exempt.
Core Hours - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Then Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as essential -functions demand. This is hybrid position after being fully trained and would have 2 remote work from home days.
