Job Description

Perform set-ups, adjustments, and minor maintenance to produce a quality product, ensuring a smooth flow of material through the department. Assist the operator with the Folder Gluer machine as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals and environment.
  • Maintain machine performance to meet quality and production targets.
  • Set-up and perform manual and automatic adjustments to Bobst Folder Gluer, including cleaning machine and changing the line over.
  • Keep machine filled with raw material.
  • Process material defects as required.
  • Complete production, waste and other documentation as required. Other related and similar duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order to prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work a 40-hour work schedule.
  • Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance.
  • Available to work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
  • Physical presence at designated worksite.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps).
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Successfully complete and pass required Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and test and obtain and maintain appropriate PIV licensing.
  • Use RF (radio frequency) units.
  • Able to work in a machine paced, team environment. Able to make minor mechanical adjustments using basic hand tools.
  • Possess prior manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements:

Perform repetitive tasks as required.

Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching and stretching with hands, arm, legs and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for position.
