Position Summary
Applies appropriate protective covering to product(s) as indicated on Value Added Services (VAS) sheet. Routes completed ATS in its entirety as instructed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities(The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):
Verifies VAS sheet container number to barcode container number in pouch
Removes products indicated to receive protective covering
For Books: Applies appropriate covering to books (cover-up, laminate covers). Trims all excess covering from books and trims a small portion of the edges of book

 

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications


Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent and up to three months experience.
Ability to use equipment and machines (paper cutter).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively to managers and employees.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.


Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
