Responsible for teaching clinical courses for the Basic Nurse Assistant program
 Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)
Essential Job Functions:

Teach clinical as assigned by the Division Chair and approved by the Vice President following course outlines approved by the college.
Report attendance and grades as prescribed by the institution
Attend faculty meetings called by the Director or other administrative officers
Arrive at the clinical site prior to the scheduled time allowing time to make patient assignments.
Consider the general and special needs of the student. Assist students in meeting needs or solving problems when necessary seek additional help from other college services.
Observe support and enforce the regulations policies and programs of the college and inform the President in writing of any problem that might have a detrimental effect on the college.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
Notify the appropriate Administrator well in advance of absences.
Focus upon student recruitment retention and success.
Show an understanding of the community college philosophy including its unique ties to the workforce and its district
Work as a member of a team
Participate in development activities and maintain current perspectives during clinical.
Develop assess and maintain data for course and program assessment.
Perform ongoing assessment to meet College and Program standards.
Other related duties as assigned.
 Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education Requirements:

Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred. Illinois RN License in good standing.
Experience Requirements:

Must be a registered professional nurse with minimum of two years of nursing experience. Must have successfully completed a Train the Trainer course and a Department-approved evaluator course prior to initial approval. Registered nurses possessing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher are exempt from this requirement.

Must also have one year of experience as a nurse in one or both of the following areas:
- Teaching theory in an accredited nurse training program; or
- Providing nursing care, including personal care and activities of daily
living, to older adults or for chronically ill adults.

Knowledge:

Completed Train the Trainer course.
Skills:

Completed Evaluator Workshop through IDPH.
Personal Requirements:

Current CPR card; background check required per IDPH. Must be willing to teach evening courses.
