Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Inventory Control who will lead our North American Atkore Inventory Control Program for our Distribution Operations. This leader will create a robust and sustainable inventory control and operational audit program for our regional distribution center (RDC) network.
What you'll do:
Develop a Cycle Count Program for the RDC network.
Develop and optimize count strategy for the RDC network.
Coordinate internal and external inventory control audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
Develop and execute a roadmap for the best-in-class quality culture in the RDC network.
Develop and roll out quality training/auditing programs to maintain inventory accuracy in the RDC network.
Influence operations leaders to build and maintain a quality culture in the RDC network.
What you'll bring:
10 Years of operational leadership experience in a distribution/fulfillment center environment.
5 years of experience in Inventory Control and Quality Assurance.
Experience coordinating, managing and reporting inventory accuracy/audits.
Strong analytical skills to identify trends, solve complex problems, and make data driven decisions.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and ability to influence peers.
Experience with WMS and ERP systems.
Masters degree in Business Administration is preferred
30% Travel
Within 3 months, you'll:
Have met with all RDC Managers, toured their sites, and have a working knowledge of their business needs
Toured manufacturing facilities in order to understand their current inventory practices.
Have gained experience with the current Cycle Count program structure, execution, and reporting
Complete your Atkore immersion program
Within 6 months, you'll:
Performed Inventory Control Process and Accuracy audits at multiple sites
Have developed a robust count strategy for the RDC network.
Provide Inventory Control training to Atkore NA operations team members
Within 12 months, you'll:
Have developed audit mechanisms to ensure inventory accuracy.
Have worked with site leaders to develop roadmap for continuous improvement in inventory quality.
Have completed external inventory quality audits.
Have developed an enhanced set of Inventory Control metrics to measure and improve the overall Inventory Control Program
