What you'll do

In this position, you'll primarily be responsible for helping our team write conceptual guides that help software developers integrate their software with Docusign using our APIs. The content you write must distill complex technical information into easy-to-understand guides, while conforming to our high-quality standards. Secondary responsibilities include helping our team write blog posts and other developer-focused content, as needed.
Our team focuses on creating world-class content to enable external software developers to quickly integrate Docusign technologies into their apps and websites using our APIs. We create and manage many content types - all targeting a developer audience - including API reference, conceptual guides, code examples, developer blog posts, developer newsletters, sample apps, API success stories, and more.
Our team reports to the Platform Engineering team, which is responsible for the entire software developer integration strategy and experience, including the Docusign Developer Center, developer environment, developer tools, SDKs, and more. Together, we ensure the best possible developer experience to help our external customer and partner developers quickly integrate Docusign technologies using our APIs.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Developer Content.
Responsibility
Write content that explains complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand guides for software developers
Coordinate publication with the content team
Follow defined standards and processes to ensure quality and consistency
Create developer content for additional content types, such as blog posts and screencasts
Participate in select Docusign conferences, meetups, and hackathons to promote Docusign development technologies and to gather feedback directly from external developers
Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years related job experience to include developer documentation, SDK and API documentation, technical documentation, and user guide development
Preferred
2+ years of experience with SaaS developer content creation for enterprise-class software
Able to work across various time zones
Proficiency with one or more programming languages, preferably C#, Java, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, or Python
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Excellent orientation to detail and quality in writing output that makes complex technical concepts and instructions clear and simple
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced business environment
Self-directed and proactive
Clear sense of accountability and ownership
Focused on goals and the overall team and company objectives
Familiarity with OAuth

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $122,300 - $190,650 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $116,500 - $160,150 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $116,500 - $168,200 base salary
