The Yahoo Search Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics to drive adoption and usage of Yahoo Search and Yahoo Games across mobile apps, mobile web and desktop. This highly cross-functional role partners closely with the product, research and marketing teams to understand user needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends to inform the product roadmap, positioning, and audience growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to execute against the acquisition, engagement, and retention goals for Yahoo Search and Yahoo Games across available marketing channels including product onboarding, CRM, social, mobile networks, SEM, and Yahoo Network
  • Become a trusted advisor to the product management team through a deep understanding of the consumer, competitive landscape, and industry trends
  • Track, test, and optimize the user funnel to ensure key performance metrics and to continuously improve best practices; be proficient in ASO testing
  • Analyze user needs and identify/prioritize the problems, pain points, and pleasure points (via analytics, behaviors, blogs, ratings/reviews, feedback, surveys, etc.)
  • Develop and ensure consistent usage of Yahoo Search and Yahoo Games positioning and messaging in all assets working with internal and external agencies to develop compelling creative briefs and produce differentiated assets
  • Plan research necessary to understand customer needs and new opportunities
  • Bring an Owner First mindset, constantly looking for opportunities to help improve the consumer and product experience



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of consumer / product marketing experience
  • Consistent track record of executing marketing programs that drove acquisition, retention, and engagement with proven results.
  • Proven track record of experimentation leveraging data insights to drive growth
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to apply analytical thought in evaluating issues
  • Comfortable delivering results to senior-level executives within the company
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and highly competitive industry
  • Great teammate with outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to exert influence
  • Someone who enjoys a hands-on role but can also see the big picture and connect the dots
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Someone who knows the importance of maintaining a fun, collaborative working environment
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
