What will you be doing?

Circana is currently looking for an Accountant to join the Controllership team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations for various domestic and international operations, while maintaining and reporting accurate and timely financial information and ensuring appropriate controls and global processes are followed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assists in completing the monthly financial accounting close process.
  • Supports internal and external financial reporting including MD&A and related supporting documents.
  • Ensures compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assists in completing the monthly close process.
  • Assists with the review, completeness and accuracy of international monthly results.
  • Assists with accounting research and documents related position memorandums, supporting management conclusions.
  • Completes balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Supports requests from external auditors.
  • Manages lease queries to ensure compliance with ASC 842.
  • Performs variance analyses by reviewing the balance sheet and income statements for significant, unusual, or unexpected variances, and research variances to identify root causes.
  • Participates in special projects/ad hoc analyses, and performing other assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 1 - 3 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in the technology and service industries.
  • "Big Four" accounting firm experience is preferred.
  • In-depth working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player; ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to manage projects to timely completion.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and proficient with other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $85,000.
