Overview

Expected pay for this position is $22.90 /hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This job is located in Peoria,IL.
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates the credentialing process of the Professional Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure that all individuals with clinical privileges are competent and maintain competency to provide patient care within the scope of their training, licensure and privileges. Analyzes and reports primary source verification information and other key indicators such as clinical competency, malpractice history, disciplinary actions, etc. to Medical Staff Department/Committee Chairs for use in credentialing decision-making process for initial appointment, reappointment and privileging. Remains current in regulatory matters relevant to the credentialing process.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: 2 years' experience in healthcare. 1 year clerical experience. 1 year customer service experience. Other skills or knowledge: Independent problem solving and decisionmaking abilities, including analytical and critical thinking skills necessary in order to interpret, understand and mediate issues related to policy, regulatory and financials. Must have computer/data entry skills (Microsoft). Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and other Medical Center personnel. Ability to understand and analyze data. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.; Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS). Experience: 1 year working with Providers.
