Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary 
 The Financial Aid Specialist will be responsible to maintain compliance with Federal regulations pertaining to Verification and Comment Codes. The specialist will determine what additional documents are required from the student, and will update the students FAFSA after review of the documents once submitted. Additionally, this position will serve as a backup for customer service and will be trained on entry level financial aid rules and regulations.
Responsibilities 
 Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Review all Comment Codes related to default, aggregate loan limits, Pell LEU, Income discrepancies, etc.
-Review and clear Pell multiple reporting and Pell over award reports
-Review and update accounts selected for verification
-Make follow-up phone calls or emails to new and returning students concerning the completion of their financial aid files.
-Serve on university committees and/or task forces as assigned.
-Attend seminars, training, and conferences as needed.
-Perform additional job related duties as delegated by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications 
 Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred with preference given to Business Administration.
Preferred Qualifications 
 Three or more years experience in financial aid or related field
