Duties and Responsibilities 
 The Department of Radiation Oncology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) invites faculty applications for a full time research medical physicist position, with research and teaching responsibilities.

 

We seek an innovative research medical physicist to advance cancer-focused studies that can integrate both foundational and clinical investigations. This individual is expected to play an integral role in Loyola University Chicago's initiative to significantly expand its nationally recognized cancer programs in partnership with Trinity Health with the goal of NCI designation. The Medical Physicist would complement the clinical strengths in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and the basic research programs.

 

The Stritch School of Medicine is a strongly collaborative research environment with substantial core facilities and integrated graduate education programs. Faculty responsibilities include sustaining an independent, externally-funded research program, and leading a graduate program in medical physics that is currently under development. Candidates must have a PhD in medical physics, physics or related sciences and a strong record of research publications. Current external support is desirable but not required.
