Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a EHS Technician located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

 

Reporting to the EHS Manager the EHS Technician role is integral to the continued success of the EHS programs at the Buffalo Grove, IL facility. In this position, you will be part of the EHS Team, performing the routine tasks to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations. You will work with all functions and buildings at the site.

 

 

What a typical day looks like:

 

  • Lead meetings involving environmental, health, safety, training, and awareness programs.
  • Perform internal audits and inspections and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to work in a self-directed manner, where it is understood work tasks and daily routines.
  • Collaborate with other teams to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions and/or equipment.
  • Manage employee programs such as safety shoe and safety glasses.
  • Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
  • Provide presentations and updates to emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Evaluate specific projects/schedules for EHS topics and compliance.
  • Maintain an awareness of the importance of the listed responsibilities and how they contribute to the achievement of EHS objectives for the site.
  • Stop work authority for situations that pose threats to workers' health and safety

 

 

The experience were looking to add to our team:

 

  • Highschool diploma, associates or vocational training
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
