Job Description

Lead Software Engineer for HERE North America, LLC. Develop cloud-based Web applications and multi-tiered distributed systems that provide operations support 24x7; perform engineering/product development in software and product systems; deploy applications using Kubernetes; modify existing products and formulate new product that satisfies customers; automate business processes using Google Map APIs, including API integration; plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products, including AWS and GCP cloud-based or internet related tools; use common development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile; ensure products (including websites) and hosted networks are designed and developed to be cybersafe and GDPR compliant; provide functionality for building applications using Java frameworks; interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services; perform the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; and lead teams (offshore and onshore), including Software Engineers. Requires: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in developing cloud-based Web applications and multi-tiered distributed systems providing operational support 24x7 or, alternatively, Master's degree and three (3) years of experience as noted above. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Kubernetes; AWS & GCP; Team lead (offshore and onshore), including Software Engineers; Java frameworks; Google Maps, including API integration.
