Overview

 

Summary
The Director, Sales Operations is responsible for strengthening relationships and increasing revenue and profitability within ConvergeOne's customer base by leading a geographically diverse Inside Sales Support team. The team of Inside Sales Support Representatives provides pre-sales assistance to field sellers across the opportunity sale cycle from opportunity creation to order submission, including deal registrations, quoting and order submissions in compliance with the ConvergeOne Booking Policy. This role is responsible for setting the vision for future state and mapping out coverage and process improvements with a clear implementation plan utilizing tools already in place and in support of the ConvergeOne go to market strategy. This individual is responsible for defining and implementing key performance metrics to measure pre-sales support impact on business performance and building and leading a high performing team.

Responsibilities

 

Measures of Success Generally Include:
Collaborates with ConvergeOne regional sales leadership team to ensure pre-sales support is provided to the field National Account Managers (NAMs)
Designs and implements an optimal coverage structure for allocation of pre-sales support capacity
Defines and holds the team accountable to Key Performance Metrics supporting sales, profitability and win rates in support of ConvergeOne's Go To Market strategy
Partners cross functionally with internal Directors and Managers to ensure that monthly revenue and booking forecasts are a priority for the team of ISR Mgrs. reporting to them
Focuses on end-to-end process alignment, partnering cross functionally across the organization on process enhancements, and ensures standardization and documentation of core processes for pre-sales support
Coaches and manages their team members from initial sales opportunity, quoting, and preparing orders packages for booking utilizing ConvergeOne's policies and procedures to ensure accuracy
Establishes and maintains an ongoing rapport with external customers and internal departments
Interacts with internal ConvergeOne team members and provides input on existing processes and on new process end to end documentation
Leads and coaches the ISR Mgrs. on customer order management which includes working within ConvergeOne's CRM system, manufacturer and distributor portals, preparing customer orders for placement by providing an accurate order package to colleagues following the ConvergeOne Booking Policy
Leverages all reporting tools monthly such as the ISR dashboard, QlikView, and Power BI dashboards to measure and celebrate success of the team as well as to determine coaching and training needed
Corresponds with Director, Regional Sales Operations, Regional Vice President (RVP), Area Sales Leader (ASL), Sales Director (SD), National Account Manager (NAM), Mgr. Sales Support Representative (SSR), Director of Procurement, and others inside ConvergeOne as needed to ensure order is booked and questions are answered
Ensures their team members are maximizing deal profitability by leveraging OEM programs and promotions
Supports their team by working with other ConvergeOne leaders to provide training as needed on various topics to ensure team members have the knowledge and skills to support ConvergeOne's strategic initiatives
Leads and coaches the ISR Mgrs. and provides support in all aspects of caring for their team members to ensure morale and culture are in alignment with ConvergeOne's vision and mission statement
Keeps well informed on industry changes, participates where possible in organizations directly involved with our prime markets, and continually works to improve sales knowledge
Keeps current on company policies, procedures, and objectives, clarifying them with Vice President of Sales Operations when and if questions arise, and is always prepared to accurately discuss these policies to our customers and team members
