Job Description Summary
The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is looking for a Talent Sourcer (Sourcer) to join the Talent Acquisition (TA) Team, playing a vital role delivering targeted candidate sourcing support for the organization and collaborating with Talent leadership in the development of pipelines. We are seeking a dynamic individual who brings a level of motivation, curiosity and scrappiness to our team.

The Sourcer works closely with our Recruiters and Hiring Managers, delivering sourcing efforts to find candidates for the organization, will apply practical and creative ways to surface leading talent, and invest time activating passive candidates through a highly engaged approach.

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Recruiters and hiring managers to understand requirements of the role, function and how it fits into the organization.
  • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns.
  • Find, engage and activate passive candidates using Boolean, social media, professional networks, and alternative search techniques.
  • Screen resumes to determine fit.
  • Regularly track pipeline activity to share with internal stakeholders.
  • Recommend and drive improvements that affect local pipeline areas.
  • Continue to cultivate direct sourcing techniques through training from TA team members, attending seminars or on-line learning opportunities.
  • Identify and participate in career fairs and other engagements.
  • Identify and build relationships with colleges/universities, grassroot and community organizations, and professional organizations.
  • Analyze data from Workday to discover trends and relationships.
  • Assisting and supporting goals and metrics for retention and diversity, collects, prepares and provides recommendations based on recruitment metrics.
  • Measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers and get hired.
  • As needed, will provide full lifecycle recruitment support for the organization.

Reporting Relationships
  • Reports directly to the Manager, Talent Acquisition

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business required. Will consider a bachelor's degree in another field as long as candidate has experience in relevant space.
  • 2 to 4 years sourcing experience with a search firm or in-house recruiting team, healthcare preferred.
  • Experience working with and building sourcing strategies.
  • Research/sourcing skills with ability to dive into search strategies.
  • Proven success working in a high volume, multi-faceted position that requires exceptional customer service, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multi-tasking.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to relate well and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively verbally and through writing. Experience using Workday preferred.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature. Position may include travel to offsite recruitment events.
