Position: Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Nurse, 12 hrs, Nocturnal
Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time & Part Time
Hours: (2) openings .9 FTE 12 hours 7p-7:30 am
Required Travel: noneEdward Hospital is looking to hire (3) total FTE 'S ( 2) .9 FTE dedicated APNs to oversee care for patients on the neurocritical care service. These APNs will collaborate with engaged neuro-intensivists to ensure around- the- clock, high-quality, expert neurologic care. We are seeking an APN to:
Provide care to adults with serious neurologic illness
Perform patient rounds each shift
Collaboration with neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, neurointerventional radiology, internal medicine, and other consultants
Partnership and support for nursing staff
Facilitate admissions to neuro-critical care unit, oversee the care of neurosurgical patients pre and post-operatively, perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
Maintain communication with patients and their care partners, provide updates and education on patient's condition as appropriate
Has a role in facilitating efficient care for stroke patients
Serves as a resource for clinicians overnight
Edward Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC), designated by DNV-GL. Neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventional radiologists are on-call 24/7.What you will need: Benefits:
