Welcome to our Stepdown Care Unit, also known as Intermediate Care, where we provide comprehensive and specialized care for a diverse range of medical conditions. Within Stepdown Care, we attend to patients facing a spectrum of health challenges, including but not limited to Strokes, Seizures, Pre and post-operative Neuro & surgical cases, Traumas, Respiratory diseases/distress, Alcohol/drug withdrawals, COPD, CHF, End-of-life care, GI Bleeds, Palliative Care, Vented trach'd patients, and renal diseases, among others. $3000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year work commitment
Starting pay for this position is $18.43/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Experience
Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
