Overview
Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our Facilities and Procurement department. The right candidate will provide procurement services based on objective specifications determined by the Internal Stakeholders including but not limited to; preparing requests for information, quotes or proposals (RFx's), active participation on cross-functional teams established for projects, assist with the analysis of proposals, negotiate price and service standards and other terms as required by the transaction, administer vendor performance programs, and high level budgetary research as necessary.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary conduit to the vendor, set up supplier meetings related to procurement activities, obtain product information, and work closely with the requisitioning departments in all phases of the procurement process up to and including final vendor selection and contract execution
Engage other risk stakeholders, including internal counsel and information security in the vendor review and contracting process
Contact vendors regarding procurement related items including non-compliance, negotiations, quality assurance, and warranty issues
Promote the standardization of equipment, materials, consumable supplies, forms; and sharing and/or consolidation of purchased goods
Identify and recommend improved and/or substitute goods and services and provide analysis of the goods and services specifications requested in order to allow stakeholders to determine the best value available
Evaluate alternatives and make recommendations for vendor selections based on sound criteria to determine best value for the goods or services requested
Bring any supplier deficiencies or non-compliance items to the attention of the stakeholders and document required approval exceptions
Keep abreast of market developments/changes in the procurement field to take advantage of opportunities that are in the Firm's best interest
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for assigned categories
Maintain contract databases and asset databases for assigned categories
Present to stakeholders and procurement team
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years related experience or Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of three (3) years of related procurement experience required
Procurement certification (CPSM or CTPE) desired
Strong organizational skills and a detail oriented aptitude
Excellent written and oral communication skills
