Fall 2024:
MUSP 121/221/321/621/721 - Oboe: Primary & Secondary (variable credits), + 1 hour Reed Class and 1 Hour Chamber Music Ensemble (2 CUE/ 16.67% FTE) : $4,500.00
Non-instructional duties: Recruitment (3.5% FTE): $618.00
Total: $5,118.12/$568.68ppp, 20.17% FTE

* Primary Student Rate [per 15-week semester] ($75/credit hour): $1,125.00
* Estimated Spring 2024 number of students (at date of contract): 2
Actual lessons: 3 + 1 reed class
Recruitment Stipend: (3.5% FTE) $618.00

**Salary for lessons will be added after the 10-day count and compensated at the Primary Student Rate. Applicable CUE/FTE/income calculations (not to exceed 50% total FTE) will be finalized at the semester's 10-day enrollment count, and then retroactively applied, after that date.

Contingency Information

Should my course(s) fail to enroll the minimum number of students as determined by the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA), the course(s) may be canceled. In the event of a course cancellation this contract may be voided or (in the case of multiple course assignments) reduced proportionally by the number of courses canceled. The decision to cancel a course shall be made no later than one week prior to the beginning of class. I understand that the compensation rate for this contract is based on student enrollment and may be adjusted based on the student enrollment upon the official 10-day count.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery of instruction at a predetermined schedule. Formative and summative assessment of students' performance for the purposes of skills development.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Normally a master's degree in music, or bachelor's degree in music with six years professional musical performance experience
