Description:
2 Louis is a 29-bed telemetry acute medical unit specializing in general medicine, stroke, and cardiac care. The unit operates 24-hours a day, 365 days out of the year catering to an adult and geriatric patient population.
The Staff Nurse will engage in relationship-based care providing holistic, patient-centered care to achieve healthy relationships in a safe, healing, caring environment enabling patients and family to equally partner in the multidisciplinary care provided.
What you will need:
License:Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
Certification:BLS/CPR certification required
Experience:Minimum of 3 years' experience in appropriate clinical setting required; Prior management experience preferred
Skills:N/A

What you will do:
Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
Manage day to day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput
Would assume direct patient care if necessary
Be accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s)
Guide and direct a team of care-givers in providing high quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for discharge
Guides staff development by teaching, mentoring and counseling with new and experienced staff, for both clinical and customer loyalty skills
Takes lead on clinical performance management
