Shipping Associate (Temporary) - Roselle, IL

You will:
Work 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with occasional overtime throughout the week or on weekends. Pay for this role is $21.00/hr.
Have working knowledge of how to operate power industrial equipment (i.e. stand-up and order picker forklift trucks)
Support manufacturing production lines by supplying raw materials needed in production process
Perform tasks associated with material flow and inventory to ensure inventory accuracy
Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells while validating order accuracy
Complete daily inspections and record any unsafe conditions on power industrial equipment
Operate a RF smart scanner
Pack, load, and unload a variety of conveyances
Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of hazardous conditions and support Pentair's safety programs by following all established safety processes
You should:
Have basic math skills
Have the ability to speak, read, and write basic English
Be able to follow standard work procedures
Know how to handle complexity in a fast pace manufacturing environment
Be able to work overtime on a regular basis
Have excellent attendance
Be able to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift
Be able to work independently and also with a team
Have the ability to identify unsafe conditions and report them to the department team leader, supervisor, manager, or Safety Coordinator
Perform other duties as assigned
We like, but don't require:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years previous material handler experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting
OSHA-approved forklift license
Basic knowledge of JDE systems and Kanban principles
Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques
Be able to conduct audits for Quality, 5S and Safety
